This grid locator also allows you to calculate the distance between two stations. It however starts up with the map in France - you'll have to "left mouse and drag" the map to the U.S.

You can determine the Maidenhead Grid Square Locator at your QTH. First of all you have to find out the position of your QTH on a good map: Latitude North/South, and Longitude West/East. Also you can convert a Locator to Latitude and Longitude and calculate distance between 2 locations.
